This state of the art wall offers over 150 square metres of climbing surface, an abundance of natural features, a nine metre vertical section, a large overhang feature and a variety of routes designed to cater for everyone - from the first timer right through to the seasoned pro. The wall offers the opportunity to boulder, top rope and lead climb. If you wish to use the wall, the first thing to do is attend a registration class to become "Certified". If you are not "Certified" you cannot use the climbing wall. These classes can be booked on the booking terminals and are FREE for members. Having gained your registration, you can then book the Climbing Wall at your discretion. You must climb in pairs (unless bouldering) and as an individual you have a booking allocation of two hours. Prior to your booking you must check in at Reception where your membership card and that of your climbing partner will be checked to verify that you are both "Certified". If you become addicted as many have before you and wish to experience more - perhaps lead climb or develop the techniques necessary for you to complete the route you have been stuck on for some time - have a chat to the instructors or look out for details on the notice boards on advanced classes which will be scheduled throughout the year. Climbers of all abilities should keep an eye out for our annual Bouldering Competition. There are prizes in all categories; novice, intermediate and advanced for males and females, as well as spot prizes.
