The ROCK is Baylor's 52 ft free-standing rock climbing structure located in the McLane Student Life Center. Students, faculty, staff, and their approved guests may climb the ROCK during normal operating hours. The ROCK offers at least a dozen top-rope climbs ranging in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.13 for the beginner, intermediate and advanced climber. The ROCK also has several sport lead routes, a natural climbing area and multi-pitch capabilities. There are also multiple bouldering problems. All equipment including shoes, harnesses, ATCs, lead ropes, and carabineers are available for checkout at the ROCK for no additional cost.
