Hello all - in town for a long weekend, would love to get some top roping in while I'm here. Anyone up to climb on Friday or Saturday? Ability doesn't matter, just as long as you are a safe belayer.

Looking for anyone that wants to climb outdoors. I just got my first rope and have my harness, atc, beaner and shoes. Just need someone to share belay duties with. I have top-roped before and would like to start leading, so anyone who wants to learn how … ...

I'm a regular at Rock City, I can meet up at the gym most nights around 8pm or so. I can send 5.10 in the gym. I'm also looking for an outdoor partner and just recently started outdoor climbing. I cant lead climb yet (I plan to take a class within the next week or two) but Ive got a full top rope set up. I'd like to start climbing outdoors every weekend or two this summer.

I love the bouldering here! It is definitely one of the top spots in OC for bouldering problems. The top-roping I would say is below par, and they require you to use redundant gri-gri's to belay(I prefer using an ATC). I haven't done any leading yet, but the number or lead routes looks minimal. A major plus is the fact that you can traverse from any point in the gym to any other point, without leaving the wall, which is great for building endurance and I find a lot of fun. Make sure to check out the cave too! It's a great spot for v2+ climbers. There is a large member base with a nice community of climbers and you can most likely find someone to climb with if you show up alone(just don't be too shy). The owner shawn is a really nice guy and the staff seems to be a knowledgable group of young climbers as well.
