Rocktown Climbing Gym is housed in a grain elevator made up of 16 full silos and in-between rooms. We have climbs up to 90 feet tall and 140 in total length. The silo walls are perfect for long climbs and give you a true sense of what it feels like to be really high off the ground. Another advantage of being in an all concrete facility is that we are able to establish a number of routes on the outside of the building. Currently we have 9 routes outside and will be establishing several more over the next year. In fact, out of the total available climbing surface we have only used a small fraction - we have a whole other set of silos which we have only partially developed. In the past year we have opened several new rooms to climbing and added a number of new lines. Our new group room and slab climbing wall opened in September of 2008.
