Hi- I'm a UVa grad student looking for a regular TR climbing partner in C'Ville. I TR and boulder, and I've been climbing for about a year and a half. My schedule is flexible. Message me if you're interested. Thanks!

Are you still looking for a climbing partner? I'm in the Stuarts Draft area. I have a harness, shoes, belay gear, but no rope or pro. I've done some top-roping, but want to get outside and learn trad. Let me know if your still looking, and happy climbing!

Definetly not peak experiences in Richmond, but its the only place nearby. That said its got decent variety for its size, and the folks who work there are nice. I've seen EMU's wall, and its not very impressive, nor is JMU's climbing wall. So Rocky Top i … ...

Definetly not peak experiences in Richmond, but its the only place nearby. That said its got decent variety for its size, and the folks who work there are nice. I've seen EMU's wall, and its not very impressive, nor is JMU's climbing wall. So Rocky Top is as good as it gets, unless you know a guy who has a climbing wall in his barn, or want to drive 2 hours to Richmond.

Ugh. At the risk of them shunning me, the facility is just such a super disappointment. If you really like to boulder, it's probably more like three stars, but for climbing, it's not great. All the members are great and general atmosphere is good, but the quality of the equipment and climbing is poor. It's under new management and they've recently instituted a "no loose chalk" rule--I guess to cut down on cleaning? Just weird.
