Renningen is just on the outskirts of the Stuttgart area. Not incredibly rocky, but there are sparse areas of sandstone on which to climb.
From Stuttgart take the A8 towards Leonberg. Take the B295 (Leonberg west) 2nd Leonberg exit and head left to Renningen
