Castle Rock is one of the better granite formations in Boulder Canyon. It hosts both single and multi pitch climbs, many of which are area classics. The granite is very high quality and the setting next to the creek is awesome. Most of the climbing is traditional but there are a few bolts to clip here as well.
12 miles west of Boulder Colorado on Boulder Canyon Drive you will come across a large dirt road on your left just after a fairly blind corner. Castle Rock is directly off the main road and that dirt road you pull off on will take you almost all the way around the rock if you so desire. Park on this dirt road but try to leave room for other cars. This crag can get busy at times.
