I have been climbing for a few years. Happy to go outside or train indoors. Lead about HS 4b/c outside. Got rack, ropes, car etc.... Just need people who are free and want to climb. I live in Sheffield.

- James Battersby - Most of my climbing club have gone home for the holidays so looking for someone else to climb with. Am available pretty much everyday, certainly in the afternoons/evenings. Happy to climb anywhere.
- Katharina Bradfield - Sounds grand! I'm off on a field trip to sunny wales next week then free for summer. How about going somewhere that week?
- Katharina Bradfield - Ergh I just read that back and realised it makes hardly any sense: what I meant to say is how about going for a climb week after next. :-)
- James Battersby - You mean week beginning Mon 21st? Sounds good. I'm at uni till around 5 each day so anytime after that is good for me!
- Katharina Bradfield - Perfect- same here! Have you got rope/rack for outdoor climbing? Afraid I haven't, and only led once...
- James Battersby - I've got rope, quickdraws and a few slings but no trad kit unfortunately. I can set up a few top ropes where possible but we can also do some leading indoors at least. Apparently at the edge there are bolts to practice putting in your own quickdraws.
- Katharina Bradfield - I've got 10 nuts and some hexs to add to the mix...top roping on quiet crags is looking like a distinct possiblilty ^_^ ooo I've never led indoors- find indoors harder work... cant jam anything in anywhere...
- James Battersby - Nothing to jam indoors due to lack of cracks. More crimping/palming than anything else. Its good fun leading indoors - more happy to take a fall anytime! Also good practice for sport!
- James Battersby - Stupid 255 character limit.... Nuts + hexes will see us through some routes but whether you want to risk realising you need a friend halfway up is another matter! At least more secure top rope anchors!
- Katharina Bradfield - eeep horrible thought, going down is always far more horrible than going up.... meant mainly for anchorage, although could find an extremely short and well protected route for lead practise..
- Katharina Bradfield - my pathetic lady hands not too suited for walls atm..... tho i'm sure with practise i will soon have arnie fingers capable of crushing holds :-)
- James Battersby - Hang on - how have we not met already? Just been on Facebook and discovered we have 5 mutual friends....
- Katharina Bradfield - oooooo! So we do! Hmmmm...don't think we've met- do you kayak? Also only met those people fairly recently... Were you at swap-shop? Pounded? Kirsty's birthday? OH MY GOD!! Kirsty's birthday??!

Hello, I'm looking for a climbing partner to go to The Foundry with. I'm in Sheffield until around May time and want to keep my climbing up on weekday evenings. I'm at the sort of 6a level but pushing 6b. Just one more thing... I don't have a wall rope.
