Brand new to climbing....did a couple of top rope 5.8 and 5.9 routes today and i think i'm hooked! No potential partners as of now...excited to learn more!!!

- karl willard - i am working on the lead training wall with a drag at PRG. i try to go most days right after work which ends up being about 430ish. however i do go on tuesdays later on in the evening to close.

Hi'ya. I haven't been using my pass to its full potential this month and would really really appreciate a belay tonight at the PRG anytime from 6-close.
I am game for top rope but will also have my rope with me to do lead if possible.

Hey, looking for climbing partners at the PRG this month and around Portland over the next several months (broughton, ozone, etc). Working on leading sport (just 8s, 9s...) comfortable following trad, cleaning anchors etc, can do 10s on TR or following...

I'm a San Francisco climber moving to Portland for a summer internship, scouting out gyms in the area and hoping to find some great belay partners.
- Aaron Eveland - If your going to be here in summer, save you money for gas instead of climbing indoors. There are a lot of fun crags right near Portland. And 2.5 hours away is Smith. You will love Portland and I'll be the first to give you an early, "Welcome!!"
- Kyle - If you're interested in several great climbing partners certified for lead, I can help. We climb at the Portland Rock Gym, sometimes The Circuit Bouldering Gym and outside on weekends when the weather is nice.
- Tom never - welcome. I go to PRG a few times a week. Outdoors when the weather gets nicer.
- Kimra - thanks, guys! I don't have a ton of outdoor experience (I don't lead or have friends who do yet either, so that makes it tricky!) but I love what little I've done and hope to check out the outdoor spots around Portland.
- Aaron Eveland - Kimra, you are in luck if you want to climb outdoors but don't have the skill to lead. Rocky Butte (inside Portland city limits) has a lot of climbs and there are over two dozen that you can set up TR without having to lead.

ReplyHi, I top rope about 5.8 - 5.9 but am working on 5.10s and boulder V1s. I haven't lead climbed yet but would love for someone to show me the ropes. I also haven't climbed outdoors but am very willing to take some trips out to wherever and play!
