Vertex offers top-rope walls, lead climbing walls, and bouldering with a wide variety of difficulty. The shapes and angles range from slabs (less than vertical) to steeply overhanging caves. The mezzanine holds a complete weight room which includes treadmills, stairmasters and ellipticals. There are also complete locker room facilities.

I am just getting back into climbing. YIPEE! It has been touch and go in my life. I would love to climb with others at Vertex Gym or outdoors, though I do not have much equipment yet. Comment/Reply - Msg Rick BudzakI'm a complete and utter newb at climbing. I'm also stupendously unfit, at 6'3" and 270lbs. My purpose for climbing is just to drop some pounds and gain some muscle. For now, I just hang at Vertex and hope I can get to the top of the wall ;D

5.7-5.10 top rope climbers who don't have a problem belaying a tall 200+ lb guy who needs technique work and climbs 5.8 consistently, and generally have a good sense of humor. Post climbing beers also a plus.
