Sweet little crag with a little something for everyone. Sport climbs from 5.6 to 5.13, fun traditional routes, easy toprope access.
Top it off with a short approach, a delicious natural spring, and south-facing rock that's warm in the colder months. The rock is solid in most places, but keep in mind that you're far from emergency services so helmets - while maybe not fashionable - are valuable.
Best times to go are late March to mid-May and September to end of October. Conditions can be great in November, but watch out for deer-hunting season (one week in early November). Avoid this place like the plague during mosquito and black fly season, there is no amount of DEET that can save you, you're going to get eaten alive.

Metcalfe Rock has something for everyone! It has a wide variety of grades, good rock, trad, mixed, sport and easy access to top roping.
