While most of the Sierra Nevada rock is granite, Columbia and surrounding areas (Table Mountain, etc) offer a break from that grey stone. Here you will find limestone boulders exposed by hydraulic mining from the Gold Rush of the 1850s-1880s, boulders with amazing dishes, good grip, healthy pinches, defined edges, and awe inspiring forms that just invite you to climb!
Much of the climbing is on developed property, please behave responsibly and respect the property owners.
