With single and multipitch rock, mixed, and ice routes and world class bouldering in a beautiful alpine setting, and located only a short drive from Colorado's Front Range (Fort Collins to Colorado Springs) and the I-70 Corridor, Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) is one of the best climbing areas Colorado has to offer. People come from all over the world to boulder and route climb here, but be warned, alpine climbing, even alpine bouldering, is a serious undertaking and requires extensive knowledge, experience, and preparation to be done safely. Permits are also required for some climbs and for overnight stays. You can hire a guide or learn more from the Colorado Mountain School, which has locations in Estes Park and Boulder.
